From Concept to Commissioning: End-to-End Support
At SmartOne smart solutions, we understand that migrating control systems is a critical task that requires precision, experience and meticulous planning. Our structured approach ensures a smooth transition, minimizing disruptions and optimizing operational performance.
Migration Process
1. Field Survey
- Collection of system backups and existing documentation.
- Identification of third-party interfaces.
- Assessment of wiring condition and possible panel locations.
2. Assessment
- Analysis of backups to identify key I/O counts and their complexity.
- Use of automated tools to speed up the process.
- Review of the plant’s IT/OT requirements.
3. Plan Development
- Definition of the new system hardware and software.
- Preparation of detailed documentation (narratives, diagrams, etc.).
- Definition of the implementation strategy and preliminary schedule.
4. Plan Execution
- Development of technical documentation.
- System configuration.
- Periodic reviews (30/60/90 days) to ensure alignment and quality.
5. FAT/IFAT Testing
- Hardware assembly according to the defined architecture.
- Integrated hardware and software testing.
- Verification and validation against the documentation.
6. Construction Support / SAT
- On-site installation supervision.
- Operations and maintenance training.
- Static checks of SmartOne hardware.
- System energization.
- Functional and operational testing.
7. Start-up and Commissioning
- Control loop tuning.
- Troubleshooting of operational issues.
- Support during the plant start-up curve (on request).
8. Post-Commissioning Support
- Ongoing assistance to ensure system stability and efficiency.
Project Approach
By leveraging SmartOne’s Engineering and Construction group and our Instrumentation and Electrical skills, we can scale our services to projects of any size, from small solutions to turnkey projects.
